Data. FundBase by InvestaLytics

We ingest, parse, standardise and enrich data from a range of regulatory fund documents to create a comprehensive, structured database of the UK open ended collective funds market (OEICs, Unit Trusts & ICVC’s).

By extracting and standardising data from messy reporting, we enable the creation of comparable datasets that in turn can be used to deliver insight previously unavailable to much of the market. We think of our data across four strategic pillars:

Operational relationships – intelligence on the entities and service providers involved in managing, administering and overseeing a fund.
Cost structures - analysis of the operating costs, fee components and economic efficiency associated with running a fund.
Financial outcomes - insight into the economic results of the fund, including returns generation, flows, distributions and overall financial performance.
Governance metadata - information relating to the fund’s reporting lifecycle, oversight processes, regulatory disclosures and governance framework.

This data is available through a data licensing contract and is updated monthly.
